Muse Spark 1.2 Contributor tier gives Meta permission to use prompts and outputs to improve their products. Standard does not.
Codify the tier decision in written policy, not per-developer preference. Route sensitive requests to Standard, non-sensitive to Contributor, at your gateway.

Using the Event Log for Compliance
The event log records every file edit, tool call, and decision. Replay walks a session step by step. Full traces export.
For SOC 2 or HIPAA teams, this is compliance evidence you can attach to change tickets. Chat transcripts are not.
Storage location and retention are not documented at launch. Define retention in policy before adoption; if the vendor retention is shorter than your compliance window, mirror the log locally.

The Adoption Pattern
Route by task horizon. Long-horizon repo-wide work (refactors, feature slices, migrations) goes to Muse Code. Quick single-file edits stay in the IDE assistant.
