Industry Controversies and Regulatory Inquiries
On September 10, 2026, Anthropic accused Moonshot AI of covertly routing thousands of user requests to Anthropic's Claude models. According to Bloomberg, as published on Yahoo Finance, Anthropic said Moonshot AI passed off the Claude responses as its own.
Moonshot AI did not immediately issue a public response to Bloomberg's inquiry regarding Anthropic's claims. Following the accusation, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) initiated an official regulatory investigation into the matter, according to Wikipedia.
